(ii) the acceleration of body.

or, 3=u+2a
∴a=6−2u
s2=2u+21a×4
8=2u+2a
Solving the equations
8=2u+2(6−2u)
8=2u+12−4u
2u=4
u=2m/s
∴a=6−2u=6−4=2m/s2
