A cyclist covered 8 km in three hours.

He covered 3 km in first two hours.

TOTAL DISTANCE COVERED IN THREE HOURS = 8 5/12

=> 101/12 km

TOTAL DISTANCE COVERED IN FIRST TWO HOURS=

3 5/8 = 29/8 km

DISTANCE COVERED IN THE THIRD HOUR = 101/12-29/8

= 115/24

= 4 19/24 km

THEREFORE THE CYCLIST COVERED 4 19/24 km IN THE THIRD HOUR.
