12. A lady weighing 500 newtons has shoes with stiletto heels. Each heel has an area of
0.5 cm². If the lady puts all
her weight on one heel, what pressure does she put on
the floor. Would you rather have your toe stepped on by the lady in stiletto heels,
or the elephant, described in the previous question? Why?​

Weight of the lady = 500 N

Area of one heel = 0.5 cm²

Pressure on floor , P = Force ( weight ) / Area

P = 500 / 0.5

P = 1000 N / cm²

I would have my toe stepped on by the elephant than stiletto heels since the Area of contact of stilletto heels and my toe would be very less hence pressure will be more. But in case of elephant, contact area between my toe and his legs would be large and hence pressure will be less.
