Given

mass of the person = 60 kg

acceleration of lift (a) = g/5 , where g is acceleration due to gravity ( g = 10m/s²)

The apparent weight of a person when lift is moving up = m(g+a)

Apparent weight = m(g+a)

Apparent weight = 60 [ 10 + (10/5) ]

Apparent weight = 60 [ 10 +2 ]

Apparent weight = 60 × 12 = 720 N = 72 kgf

OPTION (B) is correct
