that is because states of matter are interconvertible. Best example for it is ice ( solid state) on heating can change to water ( liquid) and on further heating or boiling water forms water vapour( gaseous). On cooling the water vapour water is formed and further cooling ( freezing) gives ice. so , they can be changed in between states. pls mark me the brainliest , hope it helps you.
