Answer:

here is the solution dear..........

Step-by-step explanation:

dimensions of room = 5m x 3m x 2.5

{length = 5m, breadth = 3m and height = 2.5m}

Area of the room to be whitewashed = area of four walls + area of the roof

Area of four walls = 2h(l+b) = 2x2.5(5+3) = 5(8) = 40m²

Area of the roof = 5m x 3m = 15m²

Total area = (40+15)m² = 55m²

But there are three windows and a door which will not be painted.

So we will find the area occupied by the door and the windows and remove that area from the total area which we have calculated just now.

dimensions of door = 1.5m x 2m

So, the area of door = 3m²

Dimensions of each window = 1.5m x 1m

area of three windows = 3 x 1.5 = 4.5m²

The total area occupied by windows and door = (4.5+3)m² = 7.5m²

Area to be white-washed = (55 - 7.5)m² = 47.5m²

Cost of white-washing = 10 dollars per m²

So, 10 dollars are paid per 1m²

then 10 x 47.5 dollars are paid for 47.5m² = 475 dollars

Therefore, the cost of white-washing = 475 dollars.

Hope you find this helpful.

Have a nice day.

Yah! The solution is too big but please mark it as the brainliest answer.
