12. A vessel has 4 L and 850 mL of milk. In how many
glasses can the milk be poured if each glass can hold
48.5 mL of milk?​

Solution:-

Total quantity of curd = 4 litre and 850 ml

1 litre = 1000 ml

Total quantity in ml = (4*1000) ml + 850 ml

= 4000 + 850

= 4850ml

Capacity of each glass = 48.5ml

Total number of glasses can be filled = Total quantity of curd/Capacity of each glass

⇒ 4850/48.5

= 48500/485

= 1 00 glasses

So, 4850 ml of curd can be filled in 100 glasses..
