Answer:

= 5 / 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A = The number on the card is more than 3

A = { 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 }

B = The number on card is an even number

B = { 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 , 12 }

                 A ∩ B = { 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 , 12 }

    ∴            n (A) = ⁹C₁ = 9

                   n (B) = ⁶C₁ = 6

                   n (A ∩ B) = ⁵C₁ = 5

Now, Probability the number on card drawn card is even number and it is known that the number on the drawn card is more than 3 = P (B/A)

∵                 P (B/A) = P(A ∩ B) / P (A)

                = n (A ∩ B) / n (A)

                 = 5/9

Good luck !!
