12 dry cells have the same voltage as the car battery....why is it that this 12 dry cells cannot start the car?

1. 12 dry cell might have same voltage but they r not able to generate enough power to start a car
2. One thing more if they r able to generate the power then we r not able to use them again as they cannot recharged
