Answer: Evaporation

Explanation: We all know that salt gets dissolved in water and is heavier than water. First people put the sea water in salt pans. The water gets evaporated and than the heavier salt particles are left behind due to their weight. Thank you

Distillation is a method used for the separation of components by first boiling the mixture and then condensing the liquid. It can be used to separate liquid from solid liquid solution or liquid-liquid solutions. The underlying principle is :-

  • The components should not be decompose upon heating.
  • Difference in the boiling points of the components of the mixtures.

The distillation process involves heating a liquid to its boiling point and transferring the vapours into the cold portion of the apparatus, then condensing the vapours and collecting the condensed liquid in a container. Distillation is used to separate water from sea water.

Hope it helps uh :)
