a) ph of soil is very important as it indicates the soil is having all essential nutrients required for plant growth. Soil ph of 6.5 is good having all nutrients. So the farmers do so.

b) Use a trip of pH paper.Then gently dip the part of the paper into a soil. Wait for sometime you will notice the color change in the pH paper strip.Then now

compare the color obtained on the pH strip with pH chart which have a color scale indicating the pH.

So you will get to know if the soil is acidic or basic.
