SOLUTION : Let the quadratic equation be ax² + bx + c whose roots are ß and ¢

sum of zeroes = 0 [ GIVEN ]

ẞ + ¢ = 0

Product of the zeroes = - √2 [ GIVEN ]

ߢ = - √2

ax² + bx + c = x² - ( ß + ¢ )x + ߢ

= x² - 0.x + ( - √2 )

= x² - √2

Hence , x² -√2 is a quadratic equation
