12. Find the value of x, y, z from the following.
x × (y + (4)] = [(5) × (-7)] + [5 × z]​

It is given that,

x = -4/7, y = -3/8 , z = 16/5

i) x(yxz)

= (-4/7 ) x [ (- 3/8 ) x ( 16/5 ) ]

= (-4/7 ) × ( -6/5)

= 24/35 = --(1)

ii) (x y) x z

= [(- 4/7) × (-3/8 ) ] × ( 16/5)= ( 12 x 16 )/( 56 × 5)

= 24/35----(2)

From (1) and (2), we conclude that,

x (y z) = (xy) x z
