  2. Sodium (2, 8, 1) = Na with one electron at the top.
  • Again for Oxygen (2, 6) = O with two electrons each on three sides. For Magnesium (2, 8, 2) = Mg with two electrons on the top. The formation of Na20 and MGO can be written as Mg2+ + O2 (2-).

3. The metals that can be found in the free state in nature are gold, silver, platinum,e etc. Since Gold, Platinum and Silver are least reactive metals, hence they are found in free state in nature.
