Question :

If A(3,5) B(10,-2) and C(x,y) forms  a triangle and G(2,-1) is its centriod,

find the coordinats of C.

Formula

Coordinate of centroid is a mean value of x, y coordinates on A, B and C.

$\frac{3+10+x}{3} =2$

$x+13=6$

$x=-7$

$\frac{5-2+y}{3}=-1$

$y+3=-3$

$y=-6$

∴$C(-7,-6)$
