Step-by-step explanation:

in a square, all of the sides are equal

let the side of the square be x

therefore the sides of the rectangle are ( x + 5) and ( x - 5)

the perimeter of the rectangle is 2(lengh + breath)

2 [ ( x + 5 ) + ( x - 5)

2x + 10 + 2x - 10

= 4x

now

4x = 30

x = 30/4

x = 7.5
