12. If the perimeter of a square is 56 cm, find
the sum of two sides of the square.​

Given :-

Perimeter of square = 56cm

Side of square = ?

Let take the side of square be x

Solution :-

Perimeter of square = 4 * side

Put the required values in the formula

56 = 4 * x

56 = 4x

56 / 4 = x

x = 14

Therefore,

The side of square is 14cm

Now, The sum of two sides of square

14 + 14 = 28cm

28cm is your answer mate

Properties of square

  • All sides are equal .

  • All angles are equal to 90°.

  • The diagonals of the square bisect each other at 90° .

  • Diagonals of square are equal .

  • The length of Diagonal is greater than the sides of square .

  • Area of square = side * side.

  • Perimeter of square = 4 * side .

To find :

sum of two sides of square

i.e. (side+side=2×side)

solution :

we know,

perimeter of square = 4×side

½(perimeter of square)=2×side...(dividing both sides by 2)

½×56=2×side

The sum of 2 sides of square =28 cm
