» Let ABC is a right angled triangle.. right angle at B.

\angle{B} = 90°

Base (B) = 7 cm

Hypotenuse (H) = 13 cm.

___________ [GIVEN]

• We have to find the area of triangle and it's perpendicular too.

Solution:

We know that

H² = P² + B² (By Pythagoras theoram)

=> (AC)² = (AB)² + (BC)²

=> (13)² = (AB)² + (7)²

=> 169 = (AB)² + 49

=> (AB)² = 169 - 49

=> (AB)² = 120

=> AB = √120 cm

______________________________

Area of triangle = \dfrac{1}{2} × base × height

=> \dfrac{1}{2} × BC × AB

=> \dfrac{1}{2} × 7 × √120

=> \dfrac{7\sqrt{120}}{2} cm²
