let's take <ABC as x <4 as y

<1=x-y

now

since <ABC and<ACB are equal and angle 3 and 4 are also equal

the values will be same

so, angleACB=x and angle 4 = y

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: ∠ ABC = ∠ ACB …(i)

and ∠4 = ∠3 …(ii)

According to Euclid’s axiom, if equals are subtracted from equals, then remainders are also equal.

On subtracting Eq. (ii) from (i) ,

We get,

∠ ABC - ∠4 = ∠ ACB - ∠3

⇒ ∠1 = ∠2Now, in ABDC, ∠1 = ∠2

⇒ DC =BD [sides opposite to equal angles are equal]
