\underline{\underline{\maltese\: \: \textbf{\textsf{Question}}}}

In ∆ABC, B=90°, A= C and BC=10cm, then find the value of tan 45º.

\underline{\underline{\maltese\: \: \textbf{\textsf{Answer}}}}

  • B = 90°
  • A = C = 45°

also,BC = AB ( A = C )

Hence,

 \sf \: tan \:  \theta = \frac{perpendicular}{base}  \\  \\  \sf \: tan \: \theta  =  \frac{ab}{bc}  \\  \\  \sf \: tan  \: \theta= \frac{bc}{bc}  \:  \:  \:  \:  (ab=bc) \\  \\  \sf \: tan  \:  \theta=1 \\  \\  \sf tan  \:  \theta = tan45° \\  \\  \sf \:  \theta=45° \\  \\  \sf \: so,tan \: 45°=1
