12. In the given figure, DE || BC. If ZA = 65° and ZB = 55°, find
(i) ZADE (ii) ZAED (iii) ZC
Hint. Since DE || BC and ADB is the transversal, so
ZADE = LABC = 55° (corresponding angles).

Answer:

in ∆ABCDE

angle c=x

the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°

angle a + angle b + angle c=180°

65°+55°+x=180°

120°+x=180°

x=180-120

angle c=60°

In ∆ADE

angle A=65 ,angle D=x,angle E=x

since,sum=180°

angle A+ angle D+ angle E=180°

65° + X + X =180°

65° + 2 X =180°

2 X =180° - 65°

2x=115°

x=115/2

x=57
