A dice has six sides. Every side numbered as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. If we throw dice, any side of those numbers will be appeared.
Here we have 3 even and 3 odd numbers.
Probability of even number = (even numbers/total numbers) = 3/6 = 1/2 or 50%

if we throw a die we get either even or a odd number ..so there are two possibilities
so prob of getting even number is 1/2.
or total possibilities upon throwing a die is 1,2,3,4,5,6 = 6
even numbers 2,4,6= 3
prob of even number= 3/6= 1/2

Total no of events that can happen while showing throw a die = 6 (1, 2 , 3 , 4 ,5, 6)
Total no of successful event of getting an even number = 3 ( 2. 4 . 6 )
Probability of getting an even number = 3 /6 = 1 /2

Total outcomes from cubic die = 6.
So sample place has 6 points namely {1,2,3,4,5,6}
Event=Set of desired outcome=Set of all even numbered outcome ={2,4,6} i.e 3 elements.
So, Probability of getting even numbered outcome=3/6=0.5(Answer)

Originally Answered: A die is thrown, what will be the probability of getting Space, S={1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}
Assume dice is unbiased, and events of getting any number out of S are equally likely.
Favorable outcomes, F={2, 4, 6}
P(getting an event number)=n(F)/n(S)=3/6=0.5

A die has 6 sides which are containing numbers from 1 to 6.
1,2,3,4,5,6
From those 6 numbers, 2,4,6 are even.
Probability of getting an even number = Probability of getting 2 or 4 or 6 = 3/6 = 1/2
