work done by 12men in 1day = 1/8
and by 1man in 1day = 1/96 and in 3days = 3*(1/96)= 1/32
the remaining work= 31/32
time taken by 1man= 31/32÷ (1/96)= 93
and by 15 men= 93/15= 6days 1/5 days

Answer:

They altogether complete remaining work in 4 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Twelve men can complete a work in 8 days.

To Find : three days after they started the work 3 more man joins them in how many days will all of them together complete the remaining work

Solution :

12 men 1 day work = \frac{1}{8}

12 men 3 days work =\frac{3}{8}

Remaining work = 1-\frac{3}{8}=\frac{5}{8}

After 3 days 3 more men joined them.

1 men 1 day work = \frac{1}{8 \times 12}

15 men 1 day work = \frac{1}{8 \times 12} \times 15

                                = \frac{5}{32}

So, 15 men complete \frac{5}{32} part of work in days = 1

15 men complete whole work in days =\frac{1}{\frac{5}{32}}

15 men complete\frac{5}{8}part of work in days :

= \frac{1}{\frac{5}{32}} \times \frac{5}{8}

=4

Hence they altogether complete remaining work in 4 days.
