Now how much provision is consumed in eight days
900*8=7200 man days
Balance provision left after 8days
45000–7200=37800 man days
No of persons after arrival of 500 more personals
900+500=1400
Now no of days the left out provision of 3700 man days will last with total 1400 persons of the garrison
37800/1400=27 days is the requisite Answer
