solution =

let us consider that

9x + 16x = 250

25x = 250

x = 10

Let say milk in Mixture  =  9A   Litre

then Water in Mixture  = 16A   Litre

= 25A  Litre

Total Mixture  = 250  Litre

=> 25A  = 250

=>  A   = 10

Milk in Mixture =  9A  = 9 * 10  = 90  Litre

Water in Mixture = 16A = 16 * 10 = 160 Litre
