2) To find probability of a face card - P(f)

P(f) = Number of face cards in a deck / Total Number of card

∵ Total number of face cards = 4 kings + 4 queens + 4 Jacks = 12

∴ P(f) = 12 / 52

P(f) = 0.2307   ....... (2)

4) To find the probability of the jack of hearts P(Jh)

As there is only one jack of hearts in the deck

P(Jh) = 1 / 52

P(Jh) = 0.0192 ...... (4)

6) To find probability of a Queen of Diamonds = P(Qd)

P(Qd) = Number of Queens of Diamonds in a deck / Total Number of card

∵ There is only one queen of diamonds in the deck,

∴ P(Qd) = 1 / 52

Total Number of cards in a deck = 52

We know that,

Probability = favourable outcome / number of outcome

(i) Total face cards in a deck(favourable outcome) = 12

    so, probability = 12/52

(ii) Total lack cards in a deck = 26

    so, probability = 26/52

(iii) Total jack of hearts in a deck = 1

      so, probability = 1/52

(iv) Total queen of diamonds in a deck = 1

      so, probability = 1/52
