Solution:-

Let the no be 'x'

\implies \tt 3x - 12 =27 \\ \implies \tt3x = 27 - 12

 \tt \implies 3x = 15 \\  \tt  \implies x =  \dfrac{15}{3}

 \tt \implies x =  \dfrac{ \cancel{15} { \: \:  }^{5} }{ \cancel3 { \: }^{1} }
