By Ohm's law,

V = I R

I = V / R -----> eq 2.

Substitute eq 2 in eq 1

P = ( V )^2 / R

P1 = ( V )^2 / R1

= ( 250 )^2 / 500

= ( 250 × 250 ) / 500

P1 = 125 W

P2 = ( V )^2 / R2

= ( 250 )^2 / 750

= ( 250 × 250 ) / 750

= 250 / 3

P2 = 83.33 W

P1 > P2

Soldering iron having a resistance of 500 Ω has a power of 125 W, which is greater than the soldering iron having a resistance of 83.33 Ω.
