- They do not consist of vascular bundle (Xylem and phloem)
- They are not spread into stems, roots and leaves.
- Bryophytes are also called 'amphibians of plant kingdom'.
- They live in land in moist places.
- Their absorbing and fixing organ is called rhizoid.
- - Riccia, Anthoceros, Marchantia and Funaria.
There are two types of Bryophytes -
1. Liver worts - Eg : Marchantia and Riccia.
2. Mosses - Eg : Funaria.
