Answer:

Ritu,200 m

Step by step explanation:-

Ritu=2(400+300)

1400×3=4200m

Simran=4×250 =1000

1000×4 =4000

4200-4000

=200m

Given :-

☯︎  Ritu took 3 rounds of a rectangular field

❖ Length of that field = 400 m

❖  Breadth of that field = 300 m

☯︎ Simran took 4 rounds of a square field

❖  Side of that field = 250 m

To Find :-

❖  Who walked more and by how much ?

Solution :-

❖   Here , they both are taking rounds of the fields .

      So, we need to find the perimeter

❶ Distance covered by Ritu :-

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( length × breadth )

⇢ 2 ( 400 m + 300 m )

⇢ 2 ( 700 m )

⇢ 2 × 700 m

⇢ 1400 m

∴ Ritu covered 1400 m

❷ Distance covered by Simran :-

Perimeter of a square = 4 × Side

⇢  4 × 250 m

⇢  1000 m

∴ Simran covered 1000 m

☯︎  Here , we can see that

Ritu covered 1400 m > Simran covered 1000 m

Ritu walks more by :-

⇢ 1400 m - 1000 m

⇢ 400 m

∴ Ritu walked more by 400 m
