• Since the cylinder got melted into 12 spheres of same size,  

Volume of 12 Spheres = Volume of Cylinder

• Volume of Sphere =  $\frac{4}{3}$πr³

Where r is radius of Sphere

• Volume of Cylinder = π R²H

Where R is Radius of Cylinder & H is Height of Cylinder

• Given, Radius of Sphere = r cm

Radius of base of Cylinder, R = 8 cm

Height of Cylinder, H = 2 cm

• Putting the values in equation , we get -

12 × $\frac{4}{3}$ × πr³ = π × 8² × 2

r³ = 8

r= 2 cm.
