12 subtracted from 7 times a number is equal to the square of the number

let, number is x
12 substrated 7 times a number = 7x-12
square of number= x²
then equation ,
x²= 7x-12
x²-7x+12=0
x²-x(4+3)+12=0
x²-4x-3x+12=0
x(x-4)-3(x-4)=0
(x-3)(x-4)=0
(x-4)= 0 or (x-3)=0
x=3 or 4
number is 4 or 3

Let the no. be x

According to question(ATQ)

7x-12=x^2

x^2-7x+12=0

x^2-4x-3x+12=0

x(x-4)-3(x-4)=0

(x-3) or (x-4)=0

x=3 or x=4
