Given :-

The floor of a rectangular hall has a perimeter of 200m

The cost of painting the four walls at the rate of 15 per Sam is 18000

Solution :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)

Here, Perimeter = 200m,

200 = 2( l + b)

( l + b) = 200/2

( l + b) = 100 .........eq( 1 )

As we know that the,

Area of four walls = 2( l + b) * h

Therefore,

Area of four walls = 2 * 100 * h

Area of four walls = 200h m^2

Now,

Cost of painting per 1 m^2 area = Rs 15

Therefore,

Cost of painting 200h m^2 area

= 15 * 200h

= 3000h

Therefore ,

18000 = 3000h

h = 18000/3000

h = 6

Therefore, The height of the hall is 6m.
