Answer:

L = B+6 …(1)

L+B = 60/2 = 30, or

L = 30-B …(2)

Equate (1) and (2)

B+6 = 30-B, or

2B = 24, or B = 12 so L = 18 cm.

The length = 18 cm, breadth = 12 cm and the area = 216 sq cm.

Answer:

Length of rectangle is 6 cm more than it's breadth

Let breadth be 'x' and length be x+6

Perimeter of rectangle = 60 cm

Find :- Length, breadth, area

Solution :-

Perimeter of rectangle= 60

2(l+b) =60

2(x+6+x) =60

2x+12+2x=60

4x+12=60

4x=60-12

4x=48

x=48/4

x=12

Length=x+6=12+6=18

Breadth = 12

Area of rectangle= lb= 12×18= 216
