Answer:

x=-4/3

Step-by-step explanation:

for the perpendicular lines,

product of their slopes=-1

slope of the line joining points(-5,7)  and(0,-2)

  =(-2-7)/(0+5)

=-9/5

slope of the line joining points(1,-3)and(4,x)

    =(x+3)/(4-1)

   =(x+3)/3

By the condition

         (-9/5)x(x+3)/3=-1

          -9x-27=-15

            -9x=-15+27

            -9x=12

             x=-12/9

             x=-4/3
