Answer:

FOURTEEN

1. Mrs Pringle has prepared a seating list with a diagram because she wanted to give it a harmonious look as per the guests' body language but at the end it got a complete mess as the guests' list kept changing.

2. The fact of Mr Tupper weighing two hundred and fifty pounds and Mrs Conley not having a waistline would affect the seating arrangement because it will give a less harmonious look.

3. Mrs Pringle doesn't want to invite Hester Longley because she might attract the attention of Mr fransworth as she is prettier than Elaine.

4. Yes, Mrs Pringle really likes Mr fransworth as person because according to Mrs Pringle he is  people of consideration among others and she wanted Mr fransworth to marry Elaine.

5. Mrs Pringle calls the telephone a ' murderous' instrument because it always gives a bad news to Mrs Pringle.

6. Elaine appears distressed while talking to the Tuppers because she mistakenly had invited two house guests of Mr Tupper.

7. Mrs Pringle gets annoyed with her daughter because now she will have to arrange two more seats due to the mistake of Elaine.

8. When the number of guests gets quite large then Mrs Pringle and Elaine plan to handle the limited quantity of food by saying that I am on diet and I didn't like this particular food respectively by Mrs Pringle and Elaine.

9. Mr Pringle thinks that Elaine has no worldly wisdom and social knowledge as she has never done anything that could attract the attention of Mr fransworth.

10. The face of the last guest seems familiar to Dunham because he was no one but so famous 'the prince of Wales'.

11. The  constant change has put a great effect on Dunham. Dunham gets confused and goes through many unnecessary motions ; removes plates, breaks them, drops silver, aimlessly trying to hurry such behaviour manifest itself that he was confused.

12. Mr fransworth actually did Mrs Pringle a favour by not coming to her dinner because he managed to send prince of Wales in place of his.

13. After Mr fransworth calls to cancel, Mrs Pringle makes some resolutions that she will never call him, will never arrange such dinner, will never allow her daughter to marry him and even much more.  As far I think, she won't be able to keep these resolutions.

14. Mrs Pringle thinks God for the blizzard when it has created such a havoc because due to this blizzard now she will be able to serve prince of Wales on her dinner party.

17. No,  I don't think that Elaine is socially driven as her mother because according to her mother she has never done anything to be the centre of attraction amon people and her mother was just opposite to her.

18. One of the best instance from the play is,  after Mr fransworth calls to cancel Mrs Pringle takes some strict resolutions but in the end she calls him as the best person. Another instance is Mrs Pringle calls the blizzard her enemy but at the end she tanks God for the blizzard.
