That depends on the species that stings you. Some ant stings go unnoticed while others (i.e., the bullet ant, Paraponera clavata) are enduringly excruciating. The same goes for wasps. Some ant and wasp species venoms have more pain-inducing polypeptides than others. Also, in most cases, the less venom injected, the less of a reaction the victim will suffer.
