Here is your answer :-

Food for 28 days = 1200 soldiers

So food for 1 day = 1200/28 soldiers

Let the days be 32 now = 1200/28 × 32

= 1371 soldiers

Now the extra soldiers = 1371 - 1200

= 171 soliers ,

Step-by-step explanation:

Given food survives to 28 days

for 1200

Now we have given that the some men .moved to other fort after 4 days

so now food is for 24 days =(28-4 )

For 1 men it will for = 24 × 1200 days.

Let assume there are 'x' men remaining so A.T.Q

(24 × 1200)/x = 32

(24 ×1200 )/32 = x

we get 'x ' = 900

so total men left = 1200 - 900 = 300 men left the fort

300 is the required answer
