Answer:600

Step-by-step explanation:

First you need to find which type of variation it is so

No of soldiers Days

1200. 28

Now it is saying that After four days means 28-4=24 it lasted for 32 more days I.e. 24+32=56

So,

1200. 28

x. 56

So, now soldiers decreased and days increased so it's indirect variation

So in indirect variation we multiply the no with its corresponding no

So, it will be 1200x28/56=x and then your answer will be 600.

So you will get the no of soldiers which were there so subtract it from the total no of troops so you will get 600 which is the answer. Hope you find this answer helpful. If you have any problems ask me I'll tell you....
