1200 soldiers had enough food for 28 days.
Thus, after 4 days , 1200 had enough food for (28-4)=24 days.
Food will last for more days if there are less soldiers whereas more soldiers would finish the food early.
=1200/24 = X/32 ( in fraction)
= 1200×24÷32( inverse variation)
= 900
Therefore, 1200-900=300 soldiers left the fort.
