1500 \: mm

Explanation:

Given, \: V_{1}=1200cm³, \: P_{1}=75mm \: \: and \: \: V_{2}=600cm³</p><p> \\we \: \: know \: \: \boxed{PV=nRT} \\A/Q, \: \: so \: \: \: PV=constant \\ Now, \: \: \: P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2} \\ 750mm \times 1200 {cm}^{3} = P_{2} \times 600 {cm}^{3} \\ P_{2} = \frac{750mm \times 1200 {cm}^{3}}{600 {cm}^{3} } \\ = 1500 \: mm

Given

  • Initial volume = 1200 cm³
  • Initial pressure = 750 mm
  • Final volume = 600 cm³

To Find

  • The value of P₂

Solution

☯ P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

  • This expression is only valid only if the temperature is constant

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✭ According to the Question :

⇒ P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

  • V₁ = 1200 cm³
  • P₁ = 750 mm
  • V₂ = 600 cm³

⇒ 750 × 1200 = P₂ × 600

⇒ (750×1200)/600 = P₂

⇒ P₂ = 900000/600

⇒ P₂ = 1500 mm

∴ The final pressure is equal to 1500 mm
