Once upon a time, there were four friends. They were smart and intelligent. There
was no opportunity in their village to make it big in life. So they decided to go to
city to make their fortune. They had to travel through the large forest So they
took a pistol each t protect themselves from wild animals on the way they met a
wise man. He warn them not to follow the path they were on. He said they would
get into the trouble if they went that way. But they ignored his advice. They
showed him their pistol and said they were well prepared for any danger might
come their way. They set off their journey. They were confident that they would
be able to deal with whatever that might arise.To their delight, they came across
a bar of gold lying on the path. They wrapped it in a piece of cloth and agreed to
share it equally among themselves. Sitting by the campfire, the two who had
stayed back to set up camp, looked at the bar of gold and thought how wonderful
it would be if they could divide it only among themselves. They decided to shoot
the other two when they returned with the food. In the mean time, the two men
returning with food had same thought that they poison the food, kill their friends
and share the gold bar between the two of them.
