Given: 125/120=75/x

We have to find the value ofx.

  • By using the concept of equation shifting, we are solving the above equation.
  • For this, we will separate the variables on one side and the constant on another side.
  • Then, we will simplify the equation.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

125/120=75/x

=>\frac{125}{120} =\frac{75}{x} \\\\=>125\times x=75\times 120\\\\=>125x=9000\\\\=>x=\frac{9000}{125} \\\\=>x=72

Hence, the value ofx will be72.

As per given information,

 \frac{125}{120}  =  \frac{75}{x}

We have to find out the the value of x.

By using the equation shifting property we can find out the value of x.

Given ,

 \frac{125}{120}  =  \frac{75}{x}

By shifting Denominator of both fraction to the opposite side it becomes multiplication.

So expression becomes,

125 \times x = 75 \times 120

Shift 125 other side it becomes divide

x =  \frac{75 \times 120}{125}

By dividing 75 and 125 by 25 we get

x =  \frac{3 \times 120}{5}

Divide 120 by 5 we get

x = 3 \times 24

x = 72

So,

The value of x is 72.

Verify ans -

 \frac{75}{72}  =  \frac{25}{24}

 \frac{125}{120}  =  \frac{25}{24}

As after solving both the fraction gives same fraction means answer is right.
