125 students are going for a school camp. if one tent can accommodate 4 children, how many tents will ve required? how many children will be left?

We need to solve this problem.
A total of 125 students went for a picnic.
Each tent can accommodate only 4 students.
Hence the number of tents required will be= total number of students÷ the number of students each tent can hold.
Therefore, the number of tents required= 125/4 = 31.25
We cannot take decimal number of tents.
Thus the total number of tents required is taken to be 31(only the whole number part is taken)
The number of students left out = 125-(31*4)=1
