12men and 18 women can finish a work in 24 days. in how many days the same work can be finished by 8 men and 8 women​

Given ;-

12 men can finish a work in 24 days.

So , their one day's work = 1/24

Now ,

The work done by 1 man in a day :-

 = > \frac{1}{24} \times \frac{1}{12} = \frac{1}{288}

On the other hand similar, the work done by 1 woman in a day :-

 = > \frac{1}{24} \times \frac{1}{15} = \frac{1}{360}

So , both man's and woman's together 1 day's work :-

 = > ( \frac{1}{288} + \frac{1}{360} )

Now ,

According the the Question , 8 man and women can together do the work in ;-

 = > ( \frac{8}{288} + \frac{8}{360} )

 = > ( \frac{1}{36} + \frac{1}{45} ) = \frac{5}{180} + \frac{4}{180}

 = > \frac{9}{180} = \frac{1}{20}

Therefore ,

In 20 days the same work can be finished by 8 men and 8 women.
