13. 25 cubical blocks of wood were painted on
all sides. If the total cost of painting at the
rate of 8 per cm2 was ₹30,000, find the
length of edge of a block. (All blocks are of
equal size.)​

Given that :-

• Number of cubes = 25
• Cost of painting per m² = 8 per m²
• Amount spent on painting = Rs 30,000

Now , T.S.A of 25 cubical blocks = 30,000/8

→ 3750 m²

T.SA of cube = 6l². { here l = side }

25× 6l² = 3750

l² = 3750/6×25

l² = 25

l. = 5 cm

Hence , edge of each cubical block is 5 cm
