Question :- complete the given series :- 13,50,?,244,425,678,1015 with explain ?

Solution :-

we use difference method to solve this problem. Because numbers are not near to any multiple , or square .

From image , we can see that,

→ 50 - 13 = 37

Now,

Lets start from back .

→ 1015 - 678 = 337

→ 678 - 425 = 253

→ 425 - 244 = 181

if we will solve these 3 numbers correct , all over problem will be solved .

Again finding difference now,

→ 337 - 253 = 84

→ 253 - 181 = 72

As we can see , here we see our pattern.

→ 84 - 72 = 12

Now, we will start from down .

→ 72 - 12 = 60

Subtract this from 181, we gets previous ,

→ 181 - 60 = 121

finally subtracting his 121 from 244 we get,

→ 244 - 121 = 123 = ? . (Ans.)

We have to find the value of missing number (?).

Solution:

The pattern follow:

Previous number + 37, Previous number + 73 (37 + 36), Previous number + 121 (73 + 48), Previous number + 181 (121 + 60), Previous number + 253 (181 + 72), .......

50 = 13 + 37 = 50

? = 50 + (37 + 36)

⇒ ? = 50 + 73 = 123

244 = 123 + (73 + 48) = 123 + 121 = 244

425 = 244 + (121 + 60) = 244 + 181 = 425

678 = 425 + (181 + 72) = 425 + 253 = 678

1025 = 678 + (253 + 84) = 678 + 337 = 1015

∴ Missing number(?) = 123

Thus, the value of missing number(?) is equal to 123.
