13.
A and B are two identical vessels. A contains
15 gm ethane at 1 atm and 298 K. The vessel B
contains 75 gm of a gas X, at same tamperature
and pressure. The vapour density of X, is -
- (B) 150

Answer:

(A) 75 IS THE CORRECT ANSWER

Explanation:A and B are two identical vessel so

volume of A = volume of B

VOL OF A =nRt/P  where n=15/30 or 0.5

vol of B = NRt/P    as it is given that pressure and temp are same for both vessel

so nRt/P=NRt/P THEREFORE n=N

that is N = 0.5 = 75gm/Mol wt.

Mol wt = 150

Vapor Density = Mol. wt / 2

so vapour density of x = 150/2=75
