Now

 \sin(60)  =  \frac{x}{r}  \\  \\ x = r \times  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  =  \frac{ \sqrt{3} r}{2}

So displacement

 = 2x = 2 \div \frac{ \sqrt{3} r}{2}  =  \sqrt{3} \:  r
