GIVEN:

Distance covered is 1.2 km

Time taken:- 3 mins = 3/60 = 0.05 hrs

(Note: Convert minutes into hours as we have to find speed in km/hr)

TO FIND:

Speed of the cyclist

SOLUTION:

Speed = Distance/Time

∴ Speed attained by the cyclist = 1.2/0.05

= 120/5

= 24 km/hr

Option 1, 24 km/hr is the final answer
